During the tour, foals can earn Gold and Silver Foal sashes based on their scoring. Gold foals also receive a small plaque from Hanoverian International.
For Dressage Foals: 40 points and above is a Gold Award. 37.5-39 points is a Silver Award
For Jumping and Eventing Foals: 32 points and above is a Gold Award. 30-31 points is a Silver Award.

The Gold awards are an international standard and a symbol of exceptional quality. Generally, only 20% or less of foals assessed obtain a Gold Award.
Tour award recipients receive a personalised plaque, and major award recipients receive a larger personalised plaque.

▪ Champion Jumping Foal (Major Award) – Includes Hanoverian and Rhineland
▪ Champion Eventing Foal (Major Award) – Includes Hanoverian and Rhineland
▪ Champion Dressage Foal (Major Award) – Includes Hanoverian and Rhineland
▪ Grand Champion Hanoverian on Tour – Across all categories (Major Award)
▪ Grand Champion Rhineland on Tour – Across all categories (Major Award)
The Grand Champion awards are chosen by the Tour Assessors as the horse that stood out as having exceptional quality and can be chosen from the Champion/Highest Scoring Foals, Mares, and Stallions.
▪ Champion Jumping Mare Performance Test: perpetual trophy
▪ Champion Thoroughbred on tour (Major Award): Awarded to the highest scoring Thoroughbred mare classification, performance test, or stallion (Assessor’s choice)
▪ Champion Mare family (Major Award)
▪ Newcomer Breeder of the Year (Major Award): Awarded to the highest foal score by a member who is presenting a foal (as the breeder of the foal) on the HHSA Tour for the first time.

Further Notes
- For highest scoring foal awards, an average score will be used where the foal categories have different possible points
- Where there is a tie, awards will be awarded to all on the same score, and any prizes split
- For the foal awards, the person who registered and is presenting the foal will be entitled to the prize(s)
