Would you like to to Bring Your Mare Into the Hanoverian Program?

If your mare is already registered and classified in another recognised warmblood studbook — she may be eligible to directly enter the Hanoverian or Rhineland studbook through the HHSA without further assessment!

To confirm eligibility for direct entry the mare must be:

  • Registered with a WFBSH recognised warmblood studbook (e.g. GOV, KWPN, Westphalian, Danish, Swedish, AWHA, ACE etc.)
  • Have a four-generation pedigree of approved warmblood and/or Thoroughbred breeding
  • Be of a suitable Hanoverian or Rhineland type
  • Already have classification scores and approval into the respective studbook

The HHSA will need to confirm qualifying pedigree, DNA requirements, and classification scores (mainly for ACE and AWHA mares). If you are unsure that your mare qualifies, please email a copy of her registration papers and mare classification to registrar@hanoverian.org.au.

If your mare qualifies, please fill out the Application for Direct Studbook Entry below. You must also be a breeder member of the HHSA. A one-time fee of $95 applies for Direct studbook Entry.

Once accepted into the appropriate Hanoverian or Rhineland Studbook, your mare can be bred to a Hanoverian-approved stallion, and her foals are eligible for Hanoverian registration through HHSA.
