Would you like to to Bring Your Mare Into the Hanoverian Program?
If your mare is already registered and classified in another recognised warmblood studbook — she may be eligible to directly enter the Hanoverian or Rhineland studbook through the HHSA without further assessment!
To confirm eligibility for direct entry the mare must be:
The HHSA will need to confirm qualifying pedigree, DNA requirements, and classification scores (mainly for ACE and AWHA mares). If you are unsure that your mare qualifies, please email a copy of her registration papers and mare classification to registrar@hanoverian.org.au.
If your mare qualifies, please fill out the Application for Direct Studbook Entry below. You must also be a breeder member of the HHSA. A one-time fee of $95 applies for Direct studbook Entry.
Once accepted into the appropriate Hanoverian or Rhineland Studbook, your mare can be bred to a Hanoverian-approved stallion, and her foals are eligible for Hanoverian registration through HHSA.
- If your mare is already breed registered but has not been classified she may still qualify for approval into the Hanoverian or Rhineland studbooks – she will just need to go through the mare classification process on the HHSA Annual Tour (or via video)
- Only mares that are classified directly with the HHSA (or Verband) are eligible for Premium Mare titles and mare Performance Tests. If your mare carries premium titles from other organisations that affix can be carried across.
- As of 2025, mares registered with other breed organisations but approved and classified for Hanoverian or Rhineland with HHSA (in 2026 onwards) can be eligible for Premium Mare titles.
